I used these images from the lecture slides as I was Intrigued how red has been used from one extreme to another in this example we see how red has been used as a colour of solitude and secrecy contrasting to How it has also been used by public hero’s as a colour
of resilience and pride , the complete opposite to the images above , this really intrigued me and. I found It fascinating how red has been used between two different extremes.

I love how the lecturer has used up to date trends in red contrasting to how red was Interpreted and used years ago ,It shows the revolution of hats in terms of how hey are worn now Between shapes and sizes and What trend o statement they now Symbolize . For example this year we have seen a trend in ‘fisher manHats’ we see them worn by a certain
Character of person where as Years ago a they would have been Worn by royalty and find it
Interesting how the color has been evolved throughout the years.

I found it intriguing how such a colour can be used in so many different ways and tones all portraying a complete different message by how light or dark tones of red are used . In this
example the advertisement for Prada uses a wine tonal red colour symbolising elegance and royalty giving the message that the brand itself is a rich one as they use a royal class looking
Gentlemen to model the name.In contrast to the two images below we see the opposite use
of red as Chanel and Dior use bright poppy red so much that It portrays a tonal pink giving the advertisement more attitude and spark , I interpret that the brand has used this tone of red to attract a certain audience of glamour and youth .

I recently watched the new joker movie and really noticed the use of red and how it plays such a role in the clothing and make up in the villain of this movie . Throughout the film
there is a theme of red echoed , I found the tone of red for his suit very interesting as it represents a rich classy element to his personality which is very smart as the joker is seen as a
character of intelligence , ruthlessness and maniacal .The use of red blood and lipstick to give the joker this stereotypical clown smile hiding his inner emotions and underlying depression shows how the colour red was used as a symbol of confidence, humour and swagger as If it were the mask of the person he wanted to be inside and not just the character he wants the world to see .
