Pantone colour of the year 2019

Living coral 16-1546 has been voted for the colour of the year 2019 . When I first saw this colour my initial thoughts were that It symbolised elegance , subtleness , warmth and energy .It is always an exciting time of the year when it come to the one chosen colour which has stood out as an outlier compared to the 1000s of colours in the world we have today. Im always curious as to why the colour of the year is that certain colour ? , as its influenced throughout product development and purchasing decisions in multiple industries, including fashion, home furnishings, and industrial design, as well as product, packaging, and graphic design.

This can include the entertainment industry and films in production, traveling art collections and new artists, fashion, all areas of design, popular travel destinations, as well as new lifestyles, playstyles, and socio-economic conditions. Influences may also stem from new technologies, materials, textures, and effects that impact color, relevant social media platforms and even upcoming sporting events that capture worldwide attention. We are seeing more and more store independent cafes , sport stores and many more using this Coral colour as an energy boost to the over all stores atmosphere in contrast to last years colour fo the year being ultra violet .
