I am delighted to say that today I have officially finished my 3 month internship at a digital marketing company based in London called 'Kay Flawless'.
It was an honour to have the opportunity to get a real insight into the marketing fashion world and I developed so many skill sets which I did not know I was capable of before. Starting this internship I was a bit nervous as I did not know what to expect, it was my first internship and being the only first year taken on board I was hoping I would be able to make just as an impression as the other interns.
The ideal thing about this internship was that it was a remote one meaning I could work from the comfort of my own home which made it a lot easier to manage when you have those mornings you just want to stay in bed so that was a great advantage of taking this internship on board. I was working 4 days a week alongside my university schedule which at the beginning was ver manageable but the last month was very stressful as we were assigned big projects in university while I also just set up my own business it was extremely difficult to juggle the work load each day but I just about managed it !
My typical day working as an intern as Kay Flawless would first start off with a morning Skype call with the other 4 interns I was working alongside with, the manger Karine would discuss our tasks or the day and keep us updated with all the news about new potential clients and insatrgam business and people. After about 2 weeks the manger noticed that my strong attribute was definitely the marketing side of the internship role so was nominated to research and contact potential clients to work with us. This drastically developed my communication skills and really enjoyed learning new things along this journey.
I was in touch with big magazine and brand names which was exciting and organised some events for the companies. I cam out fo this internship a more mature a professional person looking fowled to indulging these skill sets into my future years at university and into my career for the future.
