I recently watched an extremely interesting YouTube podcast by one of my favourite artist Tom Burbidge.

He is an abstract artist/barber from Manchester and I relate to a lot of his art and general life philosophies.

He discussed the topic of change and how in life change is crucial for growth and to become the person you are meant to be. Without change there would be indifferences with everyone in the world and change is what moulds people to the person they are by constant adaptation and evolution.

From the people that know me know I am a person that craves change and something different .From the age of 18 when I set off on my gap year and moved to Milan for 8 months was when I really started to see the true me come out .Forcing yourself into awkward situations and new experiences are the best thing you can do to grow as a person and I feel the year I travelled alone really turned me into the person that I am today. Through barriers and challenges of being with yourself for so long can really set you up for life. I had to figure everything out when I moved to Italy I was just a young 18 year old boy but with a drive for adventure and making long lasting memories with new friends and people I met along the way. I will cherish these memories forever and was by far the best decision I ever made in life.

After I came home after my year out I felt like a bit of an outlier and in the space of being way for only a year friendship groups were made and people said 'I changed' when I came home.. Ive learned to accept being a bit uique or different but people change in life and some people you may have called friends for life don't see you as one of there's which can be upsetting but everything happens for a reason and you start to make new friends with like minded people.

I would say I am a creative and love to explore. From my mom being an artist and dad musician this was going to integrate into the person which I have become. I feel in comparison to how I was at the age of 17 and now after 4 years of travelling, moving adopting It has turned me into a very mature independent person prepared for all obstacles life throws at me.

Life is all about change, meeting new people getting out of your bubble and comfort zone and I wouldn't change what I did in a million years if I lost friends for being who I was then I will happily accept that and continue on meeting like minded people through life with similar interests and philosophies.

Don't be scared of change it is what brings ones true self to the horizon. Accept adapt and enjoy life !!:)
