3 adjectives on Viviane sassen's photography project

Recently I was assigned a task in university to go out and capture shots of my interpretation of the three adjectives which related to my image . The adjectives I chose which correlated best were flamboyant , romantic and royal . Vivanes imagery is usually painterly with a very soft colour palette of mainly pastel tones . Me and some friends set out around the city of Nottingham coming up with ideas of what we had in mind I was looking mainly for elegant colours around which would blend well with the image I was given . We visited vintage stores and parks which intertwined well with the floral imagery I was going for . I noticed a lot of colour around the hockley area due to the stores it has to offer, mainly vintage clothing shops and indepedent coffee shops. It was a lot more challenging than expected as the city has lots of dark colours and tones so I tried finding inspiration through art galleries and street art which represented the adjectives well .

After I collected all my images together I created a collage symbolising the three adjectives I chose , we then had a task to bring the images to our seminar group work and create a story board through all the different adjectives people chose for their own images. The adjectives ranged from romance , rebellion , purity , and there was a diverse collection throughout . We collaged all the images together and categorised them into groups generating ideas and stories we could come up with by cutting and attaching to the wall . We came up with a 'urban natural' story line which could be related to a Gucci store if they put an urban twist to their floral designing .
